Does MSP cover my eye exam?
MSP covers eligible routine examinations for children and seniors, and medically required examinations for eligible patients. Routine examinations for adults aged 19–64 are generally not covered. Ask the clinic to confirm your eligibility and any patient-paid fees. BC MSP information ↗
Can you bill my extended health plan directly?
The clinic offers direct billing for most extended-health insurers. Check your own benefits before the appointment, and bring your policy number and member ID.
Which languages are available?
The doctors speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
When should my child have their first eye exam?
The clinic welcomes infants from around six months. The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends a first examination between six and nine months. Ask the clinic about an appointment for your child. Read the CAO guidance ↗
Do I need a referral?
No. You can contact the clinic directly to arrange an optometry appointment.
Can I walk in?
Visits are by appointment. Call before coming in; the clinic may need to arrange another time if you arrive without an appointment.
What if I am late or miss my appointment?
Call in advance if you are running late. A no-show fee applies to missed appointments; ask the clinic about the current policy when booking.
Does my eye exam include a contact lens prescription?
Contact lens fitting is a separate examination and has a separate fee. Let the clinic know when booking if you also need contact lenses.
How do I get to the clinic?
By car, use the shared Aberdeen Centre parking lot, park on P4 and enter through “Aberdeen Square.” The clinic is next to that entrance on the third floor. By Canada Line, use the connection from Aberdeen Station to the third floor. Contact and directions ↗
